Community Events Santa's Visit Every year around Christmas, Santa Claus (a longtime member of our department) makes an appearance at the fire station, and meets with the children to gather their Christmas wishes for his annual arrival. The children leave the fire house with a goodie bag from Santa as well as a digital picture (on disk or CD) of their visit, so parents can e-mail it to relatives across the country or accross the globe! *Update* On 12/9/2006, Santa visited our fire station and brought holiday cheer as well as safe holiday wishes for young and old. We were pleased to find out that we had over 100 children that visited with Santa and got their picture taken! We hope that we see you next year! Mascot Appearances Essex Junction Fire Department's mascot "Bunkers" has been known to be seen from time to time at fire prevention events, Santa's Visit, and other local happenings.
